iPhone Compassion International
By Cshel | June 10, 2008
My favorite channel on TV has got to be G4 (it’s 4 Geeks) With shows like Ninja Warrior and Attack of The Show how could you NOT be a geek and Love this channel? Alright I know this doesn’t have much to do w/ SEO but it does do a good job of wrapping up what’s happening on the web. And after all part of knowing your SEO is keeping up on current & hip web trends. And if your like me at all… you have to love it when there’s geek humor on TV! With the current iPhone 2.0 coming out early next month - iPhone Compassion International has just formed (seriously one of the funniest commercials I’ve seen in a long time)!
Hope you enjoyed… We’ll be recording a new show for Tomorrow w/o Brian since he’s at the Internet Retailer convention… sorry for the short blog post - but I just had to get the video up there
Oh I almost forgot…. if you get the chance check out Attack of the show on G4 Thursdays 4pm (PST) - if you have a stickam account you can get on to their feed and video chat with the host’s in real time during the live tv show recording… (on the commercials!) it’s really quite interesting, and how web2.0 is that?

On behalf og the 30,000 children living in poverty who will die in the next 24 hours, I say this was unkind.

@Compassion dave: I’m thinking you haven’t read my blog before? Here’s a few pointers so no one gets feathers ruffled.
A.) I’m a smart ass 24/7
B.) I think I’m pretty damn funny
C.) I’m a tech geek & love tech geek humor
D.) See section A.
In no way shape or form do I think starving children is funny! It’s horrible, plain and simple.
This was a mock commercial done in the flavor of an old SNL skit for a made up organization. Sorry you didn’t find the humor in it Dave…

Well said, CompassionDave. The word tasteless comes to mind.

In response to previous comments…
I am guessing that the only people responding, are wound just a little too tightly (or are quite anal retentive, and don’t have ANY sense of humor) The video is a SPOOF (GOOGLE it, or better yet http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spoofing click that link, the hard work has been done for you!)
And nowhere in that SPOOF did I hear or see ANY mention of starving children… I applaud you for being America’s finest who can take almost anything and TURN it into something that it TOTALLY isn’t… BRAVO!!
And for measure, I thought it was a brilliant SPOOF, if only the “real” commercials on TV had some imagination and creativity thrown in… I might actually WANT to watch TV again!

Geesh, guys. Lighten UP!
The only person it’s really burning are our friends at Apple, for making the darn things so expensive - well, them and all of us tech geeks who feel like there’s a piece of our frickin’ soul missing every time a new gadget comes out and we don’t have it!
…obviously, some people just don’t get it, DB.

Where is Sally Struthers when you need her?!? Maybe she could pick up a side gig for iPhone Compassion International. For the price of one coffee a day, you too could help save these poor first edition iPhones…
Sniff! Sniff!
I loved it, DB!!!

I’m on the side of compassion. I totally feel where you’re coming from………oh, as a blonde and speaking on behalf of 3 billion other blondes in this world, I believe that all blonde jokes should become obsolete. I’ll appreciate you’re cooperation in helping me to reach this goal. Sally Struthers has agreed to be my spokesperson concerning this very important issue. It’s got to stop. Blonde jokes are giving smart blondes like me a bad naime….nam…..mane…….NAME!!! (WHEW!!)
