Using Social Media at Work – Risks and Benefits
Social media is now so ingrained in our culture it’s almost impossible to get away from. Almost everyone has a Facebook page or a YouTube account, and people are constantly updating statuses or sharing media with each other. Just checking to see what’s new can be addicting and continually entertaining. The first thing many people do when they’re bored is log on. This is often the case at work, too. Unless your workplace filters online content, using social media can be a strong temptation. If you log on at work, will your productivity suffer? Or can it be a good thing? There are pros and cons to social media in the workplace.

When I woke up this morning and did my normal bleary eyed iPhone email check I was greeted with a warning from Trip Advisor that there was a potential security breach in their databases.The message cautioned that my email address had been compromised and that I should be careful when viewing any email that alleged to be from Trip Advisor.

Single Serving Twitter Accounts
Over the weekend I became aware of the phenomenon of people creating single serve Twitter accounts to make stupid troll comments on a celebrities Twitter account. I had spent an evening watching Strike Force’s Heavy Weight Tournament and along with millions of other fans I was surprised to see Fedor Emelianenko take his second loss in a row.
