Seattle Tweetup and Other Twitter fun

So I attended my very first TweetUp in Seattle this last Wednesday. And I thought I’d share a bit of the experience. Let me start by Thanking Oilman for putting it all together on such short notice! Other than the 200 Mile round trip drive during the middle of the week it was Twitterrific! (anyone know of a twitter dictionary for tweet words?)

I had the chance to meet several people I already followed on Twitter, catch up with some old friends, and meet some AWESOME new contacts! For example, Jeremiah Andrick ‘The Cubicle Punk‘ is MSN Lives’ Matt Cutts! (hope that makes sense) Jeremiah was very down to earth and loves talking to SEO’s - Even though I admitted to bashing MSN on our show (SEO 101) several times… They are working hard at MSN and have a ton of new webmaster tools that will be out soon! We’ll also have Jeremiah on SEO 101 soon to discuss some of the changes happening at MSN! (as soon as I’m all moved and settled in that is)

There was a lot of tweet talk and just plain ‘ol fun & interesting people to chat with! I strongly recommend attending the next TweetUp in your area, given the chance. And since it’s Friday morning and I’m trying to finish up projects from Monday still I’ll go ahead and just give some TweetOut’s to the kick ass ppl I met there! @Kristyann @oilman @inflatemouse @anwith1n @lorirose_belton @rickgalan @jandrick & @killingtime (sorry if I missed anyone - I just went through my follow list and added ya)

Monty Python Link Baiting

Wink, wink - nudge, nudge!

Let’s face it, cute is memorable and it even sales.

What’s the last thing you sent or forwarded to a friend or colleague? Probably not a news story about the latest election coverage, but more likely a funny story, song or picture.

So what do you offer "off the cuff" for your users to enjoy, and more importantly, send to others to bring into your site to check it out?

Maybe you just want to share a rant ?
